UPDATE: Chenango County Sheriff's Office reports that Nicholas Andrews has died as a result of injuries sustained in a 4-wheeler accident.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office is reaching out to the public for help in locating a missing person.

On March 14, 2024, 38-year-old Nicholas W. Andrews from Preston, New York was reported missing after leaving his residence at around 6 p.m. It is believed that Nicholas departed on a white Polaris 4-wheeler and was heading west on Turner Street in the Town of Preston.

Nicholas was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers. It is important to note that Nicholas is reported to have a traumatic brain injury and faces challenges with walking and vision.

Authorities, including members of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, New York State Forest Rangers, and community volunteers, have been tirelessly searching for Nicholas. As part of the ongoing efforts, individuals residing in the area are requested to review their exterior surveillance cameras for any footage during the specified time frame.
