Construction Starts for Endicott O'Reilly Auto Parts Store

O'Reilly Auto Parts is moving forward on developing its first retail shop in the Binghamton area.

The national car parts chain has been planning to open a Broome County store for a few years.

An official of the Missouri-based company last May confirmed O'Reilly intended to set up shop in Endicott.

O'Reilly acquired a two-acre site on East Main Street between Grant and Garfield avenues. The property was purchased from Marchuska Brothers Construction last December for $695,000.

Construction of the Endicott store had been expected to start last summer. Although some preliminary work occurred at the site last year, construction operations didn't get underway until this month.

An O'Reilly representative on Wednesday was unable to say when the store would open. The construction work should be completed in about six months.

O'Reilly now operates about 6,100 stores in the United States and Mexico. There are 37 O'Reilly Auto Parts stores in New York and 47 in Pennsylvania.

Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
