Dogs have brought me so much joy throughout the years and if you're a pet owner, I'm sure that you've experienced the same kind of happiness in your life. So it's important to show them some love and appreciated too.  Dr. Julie Buzby has some tips on how you can show your dog how much you care this Valentine's Day.

Take Them for a Walk

One of the best ways to show your dog love is by taking them on a walk everyday. Dogs love getting out, so a walk is not only good for their physical health but also their mental and emotional well-being.Besides, it's a great chance for you to bond with your furry friend.

Keep Things Consistent

Dogs love routine so set boundaries and stick to them. Don't change the rules on your pup because it will confuse them and even hurt their feelings.

Let Them Sniff Around

We all know that dogs have an amazing sense of smell, so why not let them sniff the world around them? During your walk, give your dog a lot of time to follow their nose and sniff away.

Give Them Some Sweet Rubs

Nothing says "I love you" quite like a good old ear rub, chin scratch, or belly rub. Pay attention to your dog's reaction and find the spots they like the most. Whether it's a scratch behind the ears or a belly rub, your furry friend will  love the attention.

Share the Love with Words

Don't forget to tell your dog just how much you love them. They might not understand the exact meaning of your words, but they feel the love behind it. Sometimes, a simple "I love you" can brighten their day as much as it does yours.

It's worked for me and I know that'll it work for you too.,
