Fall is a busy season for sports - football, hockey, volleyball, and basketball to name a few. all kinds of sports from youth leagues, to high school, college, and professional, you can witness the excitement of sports in all corners of the USA in the fall.

While I enjoy watching a good football game, as someone who started out studying to be an Architect (how instead I slid into radio broadcasting, is a mystery), I take note of the massive stadiums and arenas that are built for all kinds of sports, including football, and of course other events like concerts and the ever so popular monster truck shows!

On the college level, I've always been impressed by Beaver Stadium on the campus of Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Driving south on Interstate 99, the stadium just kind of rises out of nowhere as you crest the hills before it. Did you know that Beaver Stadium is 2nd largest stadium in the Western Hemisphere and the 4th largest in the world in terms of seating capacity? It's true.

And while we are on the topic of stadiums, the website Construction Disputes recently published a list of the 30 Most Expensive Sports Stadiums Ever Built. This includes stadiums and arenas as well that host various sporting events such as football, soccer, baseball, basketball, hockey, cricket, and Australian Rules Football.

As I looked over the 30 most expensive list, I found four that are in New York State, one in Pennsylvania, and one in New Jersey. That's pretty impressive given the fact that this takes into account every stadium and arena in the world.

Here are five New York State's stadiums/arenas that made the 30 most expensive sports stadiums in the world list according to the website Construction Disputes:
