Where Can You Board Your Pets In The Binghamton Area?
My wife and I are taking a short trip later this year to visit a mouse and its vast acreage of entertainment complexes for a couple of days (It's all we can afford!)
It's been a long time since we've traveled far away. Wherever we go, it's usually been a day trip and my wife's sister would look in on our two Greyhounds and one Whippet. We also used to have other Greyhound owners locally take them in if it were for an overnight, but that option is long gone.
So, we started the process of looking for a kennel. It wasn't as easy as I'd expected. The first kennel we called (which was recommended by friends who own Greyhounds) told us they no longer board pets.
The second kennel we called was booked for the date we are going away, and could only offer a waiting list. Oh boy...our trip has already been set and paid for. Should have thought about this boarding thing much earlier.
But, alas, we found a kennel to care for our three monsters, ah, I mean sweet dogs. And so it will be interesting to see how they adapt. None of them have ever been in a kennel before. I'm sure they'll be fine. It's like a nervous parent sending your kid to camp for the first time, I guess.
Anyway, I recently took the social media world and asked the question, 'If you board your pet(s) in a kennel, where do you go?' I receive quite a few responses. Seven kennels had multiple mentions including:
- H3 Kennels in Montrose, PA
- Stay N Play in Windsor
- Waggin' Masters in Vestal
- Hollyhock Kennels in Lawton, PA
- A Dog's Life in Endicott
- Dog Dayz in Vestal
