Meryl Streep and Husband Don Gummer Secretly Separated Six Years Ago: REPORT

Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer secretly split years ago, according to reports.

Page Six reports the Oscar-winning actress, 74, and her husband, 76, quietly ended their romantic relationship six years ago and have been living separate lives since.

"Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than six years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart," an alleged insider told the tabloid.

The Only Murders in the Building star has been married for 45 years.

Streep and the sculptor were last photographed together at the 2018 Oscars, however, Streep was spotted at the 2023 Princesa de Asturias Awards sporting her wedding band on Friday (Oct. 20), according to Page Six.

Streep and Gummer were introduced by the movie star's brother in 1978. They share four children: Henry Wolfe, 43, Mamie Gummer, 40, Grace Gummer, 37, and Louisa Jacobson, 30.

In 2002, Streep gave Vogue a rare glimpse into her relationship with Gummer.

Streep noted the secret to their relationship was "goodwill and willingness to bend — and to shut up every once in a while."

"There's no road map on how to raise a family: It's always an enormous negotiation. But I have a holistic need to work and to have huge ties of love in my life. I can't imagine eschewing one for the other," the actress explained.
