The Broome County Humane Society (BCHS) gets NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING and they depend on your donations along with adoptions and fundraisers. So when the coronavirus pandemic arrived, they were hit just as hard as everybody else.

Every dollar helps and here is a way to help them out while cleaning the extra unneeded stuff in your home or apartment. Talk about your win-win. The Broome County Humane Society's Fall Rummage Sale is back.
You can help in two ways:

1) Donate your gently used items on Friday, October 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 80 on Main Street in Binghamton. They ask you to NOT to bring books, clothing, large furniture, or exercise equipment.

They also want you to make EVERY effort to sanitize your donation items where possible and NO early donations will be accepted. So go through your stuff and get ready to donate to a great cause and support your furry shelter friends from the Humane Society.

 2) You can come to BCHS Fall Rummage Sale at the American Legion on Saturday, October 10th from 8.a.m. to 2 p.m. It is 2020, so remember to practice social distancing and guidelines will be strictly adhered to. No entry to the sale will be allowed without your mask.

I've adopted several cats from the BCHS including my two current residents Shane and Capricorn. I'm going through my stuff to donate to this sale and I help you will as well.
