As the heat climbs on Saturday and Sunday (near 90) couples will no doubt have the dilemma of how cool to set the air conditioner in their homes. It can cause plenty of stress. So much that it will also cause plenty of breakups.

A poll of 2,000 U.S. adults by OnePoll on behalf of Trane Residential reveals the following: Nearly 25% say they have ended a friendship due to arguments over thermostats.

My wife and I don't necessarily argue over the temperature. We do argue over if either one of us has "touched the thermostat?" It seems we are always angrily asking one another if they turned up the air or the heat?
