Head-on UTV Crash in Susquehanna County Sends 3 to Hospitals
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Susquehanna County that sent three Tioga County, New York residents to area hospitals.
Authorities were called to Pennsylvania Avenue in Apolacon Township shortly before 6 p.m. September 25 for a report of head-on crash.
Troopers say a Hyundai sedan, driven by 86-year-old Richard Lynch of Apalachin was traveling south when it crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a Can-Am “Defender”-model Universal Terrain Vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Tielor Harris of Owego that was traveling north. The UTV overturned.
Harris was flown to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre with what were described as serious injuries. His passenger, 31-year-old Nichole Lavo of Owego was taken to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of injuries.
Lynch was also transported to Wilson Hospital with unknown injuries.
The conditions of those involved was not available and State Police have not said if charges are pending.
