$15,000 is allocated for the Impact Project to help those in need with their properties which, in turn, helps improve their communities.

The Impact Project is an independent non-profit organization that does major home repairs with volunteers for low income, elderly or handicapped homeowners.  More than 100 projects including roof repairs, heating, plumbing and electrical work and constructing handicap ramps have been completed since the project started in 2004.

The program aims for homeowners to be able to keep up with regular home maintenance on their own once the rehabilitation project is done.
