At least a dozen states, including parts of ours (not so much the Southern Tier, but definitely areas closer to NYC and the NJ border. Also, Pennsylvania will be a hot spot), are expected to have a front-row seat to the emergence of cicadas this year and this particular group is called Brood X, and apparently, they're quite loud.
