GALLERY: Take A Tour Around The New Binghamton Bulldogs Sports Complex
On Thursday, August 12th, Major League Baseball held its first "Field of Dreams" game and it ended in a Hollywood way with a walk-off two-run home run as fireworks went off in the background. It was epic...except if you are a New York Yankees fan. I'm pretty sure that they'll do it again.
When you think of the movie, Field of Dreams what is the first thing that comes to mind? For me, it's when Terence Mann (played by James Earl Jones) gives the "If you build it, they will come" speech.
That's what the Owner and President of the Binghamton Bulldogs basketball team, Jimmy Evans said about the new Bulldogs Sports Complex. He took his entire life savings, followed his dream, and built it.
The Bulldog Sports Complex is located at 1025 Robinson Hill Road in Johnson City and is the home of the Binghamton Bulldogs. They will be entering their 4th season in the ABA and the first game of the season is on October 30th.
If you think you have what it takes to be a Bulldog, they are having pro tryouts on September 25th from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and October 1st from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Recently they held their first tournament, Summer Jam 2021 and their next tournament is the "Battle of the Bulldogs" tournament, September 18th and 19th. If basketball is your thing then you probably will find it at the complex. They are offering Summer Camps, Fall BBBL leagues, and more.
They are more than just basketball but that will be another story for another day. Here are some of the things that you will see when you come to the Bulldogs Sports Complex.

This is just the beginning for the Binghamton Bulldogs and the Bulldogs Sports Complex. Remember to "support local" and I'll see you at a Dawgs game this Fall.
