If you haven't figured out yet where you'll celebrate Independence Day, we've got some suggestions. As a matter of fact, we've gathered events from all over the Southern Tier and Central New York to give you the best and broadest options for fireworks and fun!

  • Community Fireworks - Ithaca

    The Ithaca Rotary Community Fireworks will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at Stewart Park. The fireworks will launch off the Newman Municipal Golf Course and you’ll also be able to see them across the lake at Cass Park. At Stewart Park, there will be food and beverage vendors, music, and more in the early evening hours. Fireworks will begin at dark. This event is free and open to the public.

  • Otsego Lake Boat Parade - Cooperstown

    The theme for this year's boat parade is "Red, White, and Blue and the parade will begin at Lakefront Park in Cooperstown, rain or shine on Thursday, July 4th at 4:00 p.m. If you'd like to participate in the boat parade, "line up behind the Biological Field Station research vessel, "Anondontoides," the lead boat for the parade, for a slow speed procession, heading north along the west shoreline of Otsego Lake to offshore near three-mile point, the finish of the parade.' There are no fees, rules, and no regulations to participate in the boat parade other than you should travel slowly, stay in line and be courteous. "Boats may join in the line along the parade route, especially small, non-powered craft who may not want to attempt the entire trip."

  • 105th Annual 4th of July Parade and Firework - Springfield

    Springfield is excited to ring in the summer with the 105th Annual Springfield 4th of July Parade, beginning at 11:00 am in Springfield Center, NY. The parade will travel to the Springfield Community Center where there will be music by the Camden Continentals Fife & Drum Corps, the Cooperstown Community Band, and Fritz Henry. You can also expect a flag raising ceremony, quilt show, exhibits, games, raffles, and more. Food offerings include Brooks' Chicken BBQ, hotdogs, hamburgers, and more. Plus, free parking (while space is available) will be offered at the Springfield Community Center.

  • 4th of July Parade - Hornell

    The City of Hornell will host a parade on Main Street on Thursday, July 4th starting at 12 p.m.

  • Rumble Ponies - Binghamton

    The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are excited for their game against the Akron Rubber Ducks on Thursday, July 4th. Following the game, there will be a Big Bang Boom patriotic-themed fireworks display. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

  • July 4th Celebration - Candor

    Since 1873, Candor has been celebrating the birthday of our country in massive ways and this will be no different. The fun begins on Sunday, June 39th and runs through Sunday, July 7th.  On Thursday, July 4th there will be a parade at 10 a.m. The parade will be followed by a Chicken BBQ at 11 a.m. and a carnival, also at 11 a.m.  See the rest of the planned events here.

  • Fourth of July Celebration - Thompson

    The 4th of July will be celebrated in Thompson, PA on Saturday, July 6th at the Thompson Hose Company, 53 Water Street in Thompson with fun for the whole family all through the day. 

  • 4th of July Extravaganza - Endwell

    Highland Park in Endwell is doing it up big for the 4th of July again this year with their annual 4th of July Extravaganza on Thursday, July 4th. There will be a  day of fun, shopping, and activities for the entire family at the park, located at 801 Hooper Road in Endwell and then a fireworks display in the evening.

  • Fourth of July Fireworks at Paddleford Park- Sherburne

    A fireworks display will be held at dusk at Paddleford Park on Thursday, July 4th. Before the fireworks, there will be an array of food, entertainment, and family fun.

  • 4th of July in Montrose

    Montrose is known for its 4th of July celebration and this year won't be different. The Montrose Area of Commerce is sponsoring the annual firework show which will take place on Thursday, July 4th at Montrose High School starting at dusk. See what else Montrose has planned here.

  • July 4th Weekend DWI Crackdown - Broome County

    The Broome County Sheriff's Office, Broome County STOP DWI Program, and Johnson City Police Department will all be participating in a July 4th Weekend DWI Crackdown and they encourage all drivers to practice safe driving.

  • Big Bang Cow Horse Extravaganza - Horseheads

    The Big Bang Cow Horse Extravaganza will be held June 28th through July 7th at the Chemung County Fairgrounds in Horseheads. Learn more about the event here.

  • New York Summer Pignic - Watkins Glen

    On Thursday, July 4th Farm Sanctuary will host a Summer Pignic in Watkins Glen where the animal lovers can enjoy a festive plant-based picnic, and meet rescued farm animals.

  • Independence Day Celebration - The Farmers' Museum

    The Farmers’ Museum will celebrate the 4th of July with the sights and sounds of the mid-1800s. There will be muskets blasts, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, traditional music, food, and more. The Independence Day Celebration is included with regular paid admission.

  • Fireworks over the Fairgrounds - Chenango County Fairgrounds

    A 4th of July Celebration will be held at the Chenango County Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 4th. There will be musical entertainment, vendors, and more.  A fireworks show will end the night at dusk.
