Friday, Saturday and Sunday are traditionally our busiest days during our Food-A-Bago Food Drive, and this year has been no exception.

Some had very personal reasons for donating...reasons that brought us to tears...and that's exactly why this food drive is so important not only for those who receive, but for those who give.

We had been doing so well Monday through Friday, I called Mike Leahey, Director of Broome County CHOW and asked just what to do should we be overwhelmed on the weekend. His response was "we'll bring a truck for the overflow." And that's exactly what he did. We are thankful for that, because the camper had become quite full. That meant we had to start placing non-perishable food items in the truck.

That is what I call a good thing...or better said, a great thing! It's all due to people like you, dropping off food to help families in Broome County for what becomes a busy time of the year for Broome County CHOW.

We've had the privilege of meeting so many great people over the past week, and it's hard to put in words how grateful we are that they stopped by to help families in Broome County. Some had very personal reasons for donating...reasons that brought us to tears...and that's exactly why this food drive is so important not only for those who receive, but for those who give.

All of us at Townsquare Media thank YOU for stopping by, and dropping off non-perishable food, whatever the amount. Every food item helps!

After the camper is unloaded Monday, and the food is transferred to the Broome County CHOW Warehouse, we'll let you know how much was donated.

Regardless of the total amount of food dropped off over 7 days, as soon as we received our first donation, the 2015 Food-A-Bago Food Drive had become a success.
