Officials will be investigating the cause of an early morning fire June 7 in Kirkwood that drew firefighters from several area departments.

The blaze at 51 Acres Place was reported at around 2 a.m. and everyone was said to have gotten safely out of the home.

Firefighters were still on the scene but the fire was knocked down about an hour and a half later.

There were no injuries to firefighters.

Firefighters from Five Mile Point, Kirkwood, West Windsor, Conklin and the Town of Binghamton were called to the scene along with Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies, New York State police and medical personnel.

The extent of the damage to the home is unknown at this time.
