The CDC announced last week that people who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 really have no need to wear a face mask in most settings.
For the most part, state and local officials agree with the CDC however, there are still some restrictions. In New York, for instance, Governor Cuomo stated that masks must still be worn whether or not a person is vaccinated in Pre-K to 12 schools, on public transit, at homeless shelters, in correctional facilities, nursing homes, and in healthcare settings.
On May 17, Governor Cuomo said, "In most settings, vaccinated individuals will not be required to wear a mask. Unvaccinated individuals, under both CDC and state guidance, must wear masks in all public settings."
