Dumb Criminal Of The Week Leaves Trail Back To His House

I have never claimed to be the smartest person in the world, in fact, I am probably closer to the other end of the spectrum but criminal wins the award for our dumb criminal of the week.

27-year-old Andrew Mark Connor of County Durham, England broke into a thrift store near his house back in February.  And while he was inside, he knocked over a can of white paint.

But apparently he didn't realize he'd stepped in it.  Because when he took off, he had no idea he was leaving a trail of white footprints behind him.  Right back to his place.

So the cops followed the footprints to his house, saw all the stolen stuff in his yard, and arrested him.

Andrew was finally in court for the burglary charge, and was sentenced to community service and a fine. (Daily Mirror)
