Project Concern does so much for our community but they need your help to get coats, boots, hats and other winter clothes for the kids in our area. The temperatures are in the 70's but it's the Southern Tier of New York so we know that cooler temps are on the way

That's why Project Concern is gearing up for their annual winter "Coats for Kids" give-away and they are in need of donations. They will take any size winter coat that is in good condition along with hats, gloves, scarves, mittens/gloves, boots and snowsuits.

The give-away ranges from newborn up to 18 years old and they take adult and plus sizes for larger kids.

Donations are badly needed and can be dropped off Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Project Concern, 23 Kattelville Road in Chenango Bridge, by the fire station.

The annual winter "Coat-For-Kids" giveaway runs for two weeks (excluding Thursdays) beginning Monday, October 7th through Friday, October 18th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Project Concern.

Project Concern provides clothing, household goods, and basic necessities They serve Broome, Chenango County, and Tioga County and it's eligible for anyone in need. It's non-profit and is run by volunteers and relies 100% on donations.

Don't forget about their toy give-away in November and donations are way down, so your toys are greatly needed. As you can see, the need is great and your help is greatly appreciated.

They are always in need of volunteers to help, go here to find out how to make a difference in kids lives in our own backyard.
