Fun and activities for kids this weekend at the Discovery Center’s Book Fest Event.

Looking for something to do with the kids or grandkids this weekend, the Discovery Center at Ross Park is having their annual Book Fest event this Saturday June 12th beginning at 10:15am.

Admission is free to anyone who show a valid library card.

The event begins with the unveiling of the new makeover of Blossom the Bull courtesy of local artist Ann Marie Pellegrino.

The 4 county Library system will have staff on location to assist those wishing to sign up for a library card, and local actor and story teller Bill Gorman, the Discovery Centers Matador will be on hand to read the story of Ferdinand.

In addition, local artist Kristen Nicole Mann will be helping children make their own books, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Discovery Center will  be open this weekend on Saturday 10a to 1p and Sunday from 2p to 4p with weekday hours Mondays 11a to 2p and the first and third Fridays of each month from 4p to 7p.

The Discovery Center maintains  COVID-19 guidelines and offers lots of fun and activities in a clean safe environment.
