There have been no new COVID deaths reported in any Southern Tier County in the listening area for the past couple of days. The latest death reportedly was a woman in her 70s who died Tuesday, March 9 in Broome County.  Chenango, Cortland, Delaware and Tioga Counties have not reported any additional deaths since March 2.

The coronavirus is still present and still spreading, while maybe not as fast as it was over the holidays and during spike times when people gathered over the summer. New cases are still being reported every day in all five Southern Tier counties but not at the across-the-board double digits seen in December and January.
