A Cortland County man is accused of running a methamphetamine lab at a home on Truxton Tully Road in the Town of Truxton.

Deputies say they got a call at about 4 p.m. March 25 about a chemical smell coming from the home. When they got to the location, the residents were not there.  When officers started their preliminary investigation, the two people had come back to the house and were interviewed.  Authorities say it was determined items used for meth manufacture were on-site.

Monday, 36 year old Joshua Pittsley was arrested and charged with felony counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia, unlawful disposal of meth lab material and unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

The investigation is continuing and authorities say additional charges are possible.
