Officials have unveiled the new LED digital sign over the doors of the century-old art and cultural center.

The displays, some animated, rotate through information for several upcoming shows as well as theater and welcome screens.  The look of the structure of the old marquee, however, has been preserved with the new LED screens fitting inside the framework of the old sign.

The improvements were made possible through a $125,000 state grant.

Forum Manager Chris Marion says there may be enough money from the grant to do some other improvements inside the theater.

Another $100,000 state grant is earmarked for infrastructure improvements at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans’ Memorial Arena.
