Punishers LEMC is a good old-fashioned motorcycle club that is registered as a non-profit organization that throughout each year raises money for different organizations and causes. The goal of the Punishers LEMC is simple, “to exist to feel the freedom of the wind in our face, and help those who aren't fortunate enough to have that same feeling.

In addition to supporting the Wounded Warrior Project, Autism Speaks, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on a national level, Punishers LEMC also steps up to lend a hand to local organizations and community members whenever they can, especially foster kids in Broome County and surrounding areas and fellow first responders.

Recently, residents of Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal benefitted from the generosity of the Punishers LEMC Rescue Chapter and the Binghamton Chapter of the Punishers who designed and built handicap-accessible flower beds.

While the flower beds made by the Punishers LEMC Rescue Chapter and Binghamton Chapter of the Punishers will help residents of Willow Point with physical therapy and some motor skill exercises, perhaps most exciting is that these flower beds will also bring some beauty and color into the lives of residents who have been stuck inside for the last year.

In all, eight flower beds were made and delivered to Willow Point by the Punishers LEMC Rescue Chapter and Binghamton Chapter of the Punishers, made possible by a massively generous donation by Lowes of Binghamton of nearly $900 in materials. Not only did Punishers LEMC Rescue Chapter and Binghamton Chapter of the Punishers members construct the flower beds, but they enlisted the help of siblings, nieces, and nephews to get involved in doing something beautiful for our community by water-sealing the flower beds to extend their longevity.

The next big thing that the Punishers LEMC Rescue Chapter will be doing is hosting the Pastor Lyle Ward Memorial Chicken BBQ (Brook’s BBQ) on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Lowes in Binghamton from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Pastor Lyle Ward Memorial Chicken BBQ is a fundraiser in which money raised is donated to kids in the foster system in both Broome and Tioga Counties. The BBQ will be drive-through for 2021 and you can learn more about the event and purchase a meal ticket here.
