If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family and have been wanting to visit the Broome County Dog Shelter, but their hours of operation haven't jelled with your work schedule, there may still be hope that you'll be able to visit the shelter without having to rearrange your schedule.

In a press release, the Broome County Dog Shelter announced that effective immediately, the shelter will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10am-4:30pm. The first Saturday that the shelter will be open to the public will be this Saturday, January 6th.

The Broome County Dog Shelter will be closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays, but staff will be on hand not only to care for the dogs in the shelter but for emergencies.
