Bing Bang Boom at NYSEG Stadium July 3rd
Even though Covid-19 has postponed the Binghamton Rumble Ponies’ season, it will not postpone the annual tradition of the Bing Bang Boom Independence Day Weekend celebration.
It's going to be more than just fireworks too. The Rumble Ponies have a full night of family entertainment planned. The gates will open at 6 p.m. with the 2014 Binghamton Mets Championship game being played on the scoreboard.
Then at 7:30, they will show the movie Doolittle on the video scoreboard. As soon as the movie is over, fireworks will light up the sky over NYSEG Stadium.
Tickets are $15 per person which includes the movie and the post movie fireworks. To adhere to social distancing requirements, a limited amount of tickets will be sold. When you purchase tickets you can choose whether to sit in the stands in seats that will be separated from other groups, or you can reserve a 6 x 6 foot space on the field.
Attendees will be allowed to bring in blankets and pillows to sit on, but chairs will not be allowed in the ballpark. Fans will also be allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages with them. Don't even try to sneak beer in, they've already said that all coolers and bags will be searched at the entrances. There will also be a limited selection of refreshments available for purchase. I’m guessing that will include beer.
Guest will also be required to wear face masks when walking through the concourse. The Rumble Ponies will also make sure that the stadium is being sanitized throughout the night.
You can get more information and purchase tickets here, or you can call the Binghamton Rumble Ponies office at 607-722-FUNN (3866). If Mother Nature does not cooperate on July 3rd, July 4th will be used as a rain date.
Keep in mind, the 4th. of July Spectacular at Highland Park in Endwell has been cancelled, so when it comes to fireworks for the 4th of July, this is pretty much it.
