The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team beat the winter snowstorm that hit the region on Thursday and Thursday night but now face another potential storm in the form of the Northwestern Wildcats.  Binghamton meets Northwestern at the Welsh-Ryan Arena at 7:00 P.M. Eastern time (6 Central).  It is the first ever meeting between the two schools on the hardwood.  The Bearcats flew out of Syracuse Thursday afternoon before the snowstorm began in our region.

The Bearcats are coming off a 107-64 win over Misericordia earlier in the week.  The Wildcats are 2-0 with wins over New Orleans and American University.  BU has met Big Ten schools on four other occasions and are 0-4 against them.  Binghamton has faced Michigan twice, Michigan State once and Penn State once.

Binghamton's freshman guard Sam Sessoms is averaging 19.3 points per game to pace the Bearcats' offense.  He has been named the America East's Rookie of the Week.  J.C. Show is also scoring in double figures averaging 11.7 points per game,

The Wildcats are paced by four players averaging in double digits.  Vic Law is the top gun scoring at a 22 point per game clip.  Ryan Taylor is right behind him with a 15 point per game average.

Binghamton University graduate Tony Kornheiser will be hosting his ESPN Pardon the Interruption show from Northwestern's Welsh-Ryan Arena.
