Accused Rapist Abducts New York State Girl, Amber Alert Issued
UPDATE -- Tuesday, 9:02 a.m. According to amber.ny.gov the Amber Alert for Stephnie White has been canceled but no other information regarding the case or her condition has been released.

A New York Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday morning after authorities say that a teenage girl was abducted in the western part of New York state.
The North Tonawanda Police Department is working with the FBI to investigate the abduction of Stephnie White from Niagara Falls Boulevard in North Tonawanda at around 7:00 p.m. on Monday night, February 15, 2021.
White is described as a white 17-year-old female who has short brown hair and brown eyes. She is about 4 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds. White was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a red punisher logo on the front, red and black pajama pants with Harley Quinn images, and black and white sneakers.
The suspect, according to the police is 50-year-old Michael D. Mesko. Police describe Mesko as standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing around 220 pounds, and as having short brown hair and brown eyes. Important to note is that Mesko also has a surgical scar on the right side of his neck and a tattoo of a wolf on his right ankle.
According to police, Mesko was recently released from Niagara County Jail on two charges of Rape in the Second Degree and two counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the Second Degree. Police believe that White may be in danger of serious bodily harm and/or death.
Police have also identified the vehicle they are searching for. The vehicle is described as being a blue all-terrain 2015 Nissan Rouge with a gold style New York license plate, plate number HPS3840.
