According to New York State Police, the girl died Wednesday at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. She initially had been treated at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

Investigators say Kaylynn was a passenger in a car driven by 36-year-old Michael McDonald of Conklin.

McDonald and three other people who were riding in the car also were injured.

The car collided with a pickup truck around 9:15 a.m. Friday on Murphy Road near Ketchum Road.

The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash but the investigation is continuing.
