A Broome County man faces a felony drug possession charge after more than a pound of methamphetamine was found in a U-Haul rental vehicle he was driving.

Authorities say 35-year-old Wayne Galyen was pulled over on North Duane Avenue in Endicott Thursday morning for a traffic violation.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, a bag filled with 22.5 ounces of methamphetamine was found inside the pickup truck. "Numerous" small plastic bags also were confiscated.

Investigators say Galyen's driver license had been revoked. He also was required to have an ignition interlock device when operating a vehicle.

Galyen was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Galyen also was cited for aggravated unlicensed operation. He was released on appearance tickets for Endicott village court.
