Binghamton’s ‘Paws for a Cause’ Benefits Cancer Prevention
Who says all benefit walks are just for the two-legged? This one just so happens to be for the four-legged ones, and it benefits cancer prevention!
The 18th Annual All ‘Paws for a Cause’ will take place on Sunday, September 16th at Otseningo Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and all of the proceeds will benefit the YWCA of Binghamton’s ENCORE plus program, which provides breast/cervical cancer education, outreach, and advocacy as well as access to FREE breast and cervical cancer screenings for Binghamton area uninsured or under-insured women.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m., with the walk kicking off at 11:30 a.m. In addition to the walk, there will be a talent show with prizes, vendors, a doggie costume parade, and a K-9 demo unit.
But it gets even better- the first 100 participants will receive a free goodie bag. The dog that collects the highest number of pledges will win a year’s supply of dog food!
Registration is $20 per dog prior to the event date. At the event, the fee will be $25. If you have more than one dog, the registration price is $5 for each additional dog. Interested in participating? Be sure to pick up your pledge form and register in advance!
