Woodstock 2019 Tickets Will Cost $450 According to Report
If you are planning on going to Woodstock 50 at Watkins Glen August 16th through the 18, you might want to start saving some money now.
Original Woodstock co-founder and 50th Anniversary Festival organizer Michael Lang told Bloomberg that 3-day passes will cost $450 for the Woodstock 50 Festival. Lang also said earlier this month that there will be no single day tickets available for the event.
And if you think $450 for a weekend festival is outrageous, it's really not that far off from a lot of other music festivals with big names. Syracuse.com compared ticket prices for this event with Coachella, which is also a 3-day Festival and those tickets start at $429, and the Bonnaroo 3-day Festival where tickets start at $279 for the 3-day pass, and Lollapalooza where 4-day passes start at $335 and go up to $4,200 with V.I.P. packages.
That report also compared the tickets for the 50th anniversary to the original Woodstock Music & Arts Fair where single day tickets were $6.50 and a weekend pass would cost you $18.
There is still no word on when tickets will go on sale for the three-day festival at Watkins Glen International Raceway. The tickets were supposed to go on sale earlier this week, but they cannot go on sale until New York State approves a temporary permit for a mass gathering.
