Woman Who Helped Dannemora Inmates Released

Joyce Mitchell was released from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility today.

Joyce Mitchell played a huge role in the prison escape that captivated Upstate New York a few ago and according to reports, she was released from prison today. according to the New York Post, Mitchell was released conditionally from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility two days early.

In 2015, Mitchell, who worked at the Clinton Correctional Facility helped Richard Matt and David Sweat escape which led to man hunt that almost lasted a month and and a series on Showtime.

The Post reports that she had been denied parole three times during her 7 year sentence.
