Kylie Jenner Finally Reveals Why She Kept Her Pregnancy a Secret
Because Kylie Jenner has built her career on publicizing the details of her life, it came as somewhat of a surprise that she kept her pregnancy a secret. Reports broke that she was expecting a full five months before her due date, but even when speculation was at an all-time high, the 21-year-old reality star — and the rest of the Kar-Jenner clan— remained decidely tight-lipped. It wasn't until after the birth of her daughter, Stormi Webster, in February that Jenner confirmed the rumors were true.
Since then, she's been quite open about new motherhood, and now, six months later, she's finally revealed why she decided to keep quiet.
"I knew that it would be better for us, if me and Stormi just stayed kind of low-key," Jenner told her sister, Kendall, who interviewed her for Vogue Australia. "Your hormones are going crazy and your emotions are more heightened and I just felt like I wasn't prepared to [be public.] I just knew it would be better for me, and I could enjoy the whole experience if I did it privately. I just felt like it was a sacred special moment and I wasn't ready to share it with anybody. I just wanted to keep that to myself."
She went on to say that, ultimately, she thinks the choice helped shape Stormi's personality.
"I had a really good time, and I feel like that's why Stormi is so calm and so happy — because I was so calm and so happy," she explained.
So, there you have it! Now we can all move on with our lives.
