Usually I am the one who hides something and then forgets where I put it. I had a big bag of M&M's and I decided to hide them so I wasn't tempted to eat them. You know the saying,  "out of sight, out of mind".

Well, that backfired because I totally forgot where I put them! But this wacky story is about a man who claims he hid $2 million and no one has found it yet!

84-year-old Forrest Fenn lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He is known to be an eccentric millionaire, a bestselling author and a grumpy old man, but, he wants to make you rich.

Back in 2010, he buried a treasure chest with $2 million worth of gold, coins, and gemstones somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. He then wrote his memoir, The Thrill of the Chase.

The book gives clues to where the treasure is, and it worked because the book became a best seller!

Fenn has also occasionally dropped clues including, saying that the treasure is 5,000 feet above sea level and the treasure chest is wet. But in spite of the book and his additional clues, no one has found it in the five years.

Around 30,000 people have searched, he says some of them have gotten within 200 feet, but it's still out there. He recently did a new interview about it, and that should drum up interest again and of course that's exactly what he wants. He said, "Mostly my motive was to get kids off the couch and away from their texting machines and out in the mountains."
