Walmart and Sam’s Club to Take Walk-ins for COVID Vaccines
There are still dozens of appointments available at the Broome County vaccination center at SUNY Broome Community College, the County Health Department on Front Street and the American Legion in Whitney Point for residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, Walmart says it will now administer walk-up COVID-19 vaccines at its Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies across 49 states including New York. There are 107 Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies in New York.
The store pharmacies are also still scheduling appointments.
According to a news release, the stores are administering the approved Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna vaccines that are approved for people age 18 and older and the Pfizer vaccine, which is currently the only shot approved for 16 and 17-year-olds.
Vaccines are also available at other pharmacies including, CVS, Walgreens, Wegmans, Price Chopper and Weis Markets. Check store websites for appointment information and what shots are being administered.
