A man was reported injured when three intruders entered his residence during a daytime home invasion incident in Vestal.

Police were called to an apartment house at 213 Rano Boulevard, just south of the Vestal Parkway, shortly after 4 p.m. Monday.

Several patrol units lined the street outside the four-unit building located near the busy Target and Weis Markets stores.

A resident of the apartment house apparently was roughed up when three other men entered the place.

It was believed at least one of the intruders displayed a handgun during the incident. There were no reports of shots being fired.

It was not known what, if anything, was taken by the men or what type of vehicle they may have used to leave the neighborhood.

Police officers interviewed people in the area as they launched an investigation into the incident.

Vestal police declined to comment to a reporter at the scene.
