Broome County has added another fatality to the growing morbidity list from the pandemic with another life lost reported on December 11.

The County added 137 new cases over the weekend for a total of 6, 274 with a total of 151 deaths.

Broome County's rapid testing site for people showing symptoms of COVID-19 is at the former Davis College on Riverside Drive, Johnson City from 1-7 p.m. December 14-18. Appointments are necessary. Register at www.gobroomecounty.com or call 211.

Chenango County's last report on December 11 put the total positive cases at 781, an increase of 14 from December 10 with 14 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Cortland County reports two new deaths since December 10 for a total of seven.   Cortland now reports 1,884 cases, an increase of 44 from the Health Department posting on December 12.

Delaware County reported 512 cases December 13, an increase of 5 with deaths unchanged at 9 and Tioga County added 19 cases for a total of 1,371.   The number of lives lost in Tioga County remains at 64 since the start of the pandemic in March.

Not all counties in the Southern Tier provide updated numbers on weekends.

New York State December 13 reported 106 additional deaths statewide for a total of 27,785.
