Under-Mask Services Reopen in New York State

Six months of uncontrolled facial hair can be tamed again with precautions against spreading the coronavirus.

Personal care services in New York State including beard trimming waxing and facials are being allowed but with those administering the services wearing a face shield or similar barrier in addition to the regular cloth face mask. 

So-called “Under-Mask Services” where customers must remove their masks have been prohibited since March. 

In addition to facials and beard trims, nose piercing also falls under the services being allowed to resume.
