Broome and Cortland Counties are each reporting an additional death from COVID-19 complications.  Broome’s death toll now stands at 310 with 129 new cases recorded February 25.  Cortland’s death toll is at 62 with 30 new cases February 25.

Broome’s cases of COVID-19 to-date stand at 14,178 while Cortland County has a total of 3,666.

Chenango County had five additional cases to report Thursday for a total of 2,390. Delaware, which recorded one more death on February 24 for a total of 42, added 11 cases for a pandemic total of 1,486 and Tioga County February 25 reported 10 new cases for a total of 2,832.  Tioga has lost 69 residents to the pandemic.

New York State reported 89 new deaths for a total of 38,227 since the beginning of last March.  The total number of New Yorkers recorded with the coronavirus rose by 8,746 on February 24 for a total of 1,606,520 while February 23 the state showed its lowest single-day increase in cases since November 21.
