Comic-Con has really grown to be a huge event here in the Southern Tier and once again, comic lovers of all ages with gather at the First Arena in Elmira this weekend to soak up everything they can and see and experience everything from the past and present in comics.

Comics are more popular today than ever before.  The big screen is full of comic offerings and a slew of popular network TV shows, including Supergirl, DC Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, and a 4th season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on ABC, there are new comic lovers with each new episode and film being released from Hollywood.

While Comic-Con's are popular throughout the US, typically in larger cities like Chicago and New York, the Twin Tiers Comic-Con started as a small art show in 2007, hosted by Heroes Your Mom Threw Out Comic Shop in Elmira, New York.

This weekend's Comic-Con in Elmira will bring thousands of fans from all over the United States.  They have two huge floors this year, three panel areas and some very special guests including Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Dana Snyder, Carey Means, Lloyd Kaufman and many more.

Twin Tiers Comic-Con 2016 runs Saturday (August 13) from 11am-7pm and Sunday (August 14) from 11am-5pm.  Kids 12 and under are admitted free with a paid adult ticket holder.  For ticket options, directions and everything else you need to know, click HERE.
