TruthPharm Memorial March Will Go On In Spite of Coronavirus
The coronavirus pandemic is not stopping an annual event to mark the impact of opioid abuse in the region.
TruthPharm says it will still host the 5th annual Trail of Truth Memorial March August 22 to mark Overdose Awareness Day.
The event starts at 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Junior Peacemaker’s Stage and concludes in front of the Governmental Plaza.
Organizers say they are setting up sanitizing stations, participants will have to wear masks and practice social distancing and chairs for the memorial will be spaced six feet apart. Extra masks will be made available for those attending.
The Trail of Truth Memorial March remembers 148 loved ones who have lost their lives due to substance use related causes. The event also recognizes the trials of the families and those who have survived the battle.
