New York State Police are continuing to look into how a pickup truck wounded up, upside down in the Susquehanna River in the Town of Kirkwood.

The Chevy Silverado was pulled out near the Conklin Extension Bridge after someone spotted the underside of a vehicle and tires pointing up out of the water at around 11:30 a.m. August 16.

Authorities say the owner of the truck had apparently parked it at the Kirkwood Valley Park early in the week and the vehicle had been reported missing when he returned Tuesday.

It took crews in a boat and a crane almost three hours to fish the truck out of the fast-moving, swollen Susquehanna.  There was no one in the truck and no injuries were reported.
