New York State Police responded to a tractor-trailer rollover accident on I-81 in Sandy Creek.

According to authorities, an investigation revealed the driver, 38-year-old Seth Eaton, was traveling north and began to take Exit 37 when he noticed a vehicle parked on the shoulder.

Police say, it appears he over-steered causing him to lose control, strike a signpost and overturn.

As a result of the crash 7,200 gallons of milk was spilled on to the highway and Eaton was extricated from the truck and sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The exit ramp was closed for several hours as crews cleared the milk from the roadway.
