The only NFL players on this list are from the Buffalo Bills, the only professional football team to play in the state of New York.

At number one on the list is NBA star, Kevin Durant. Durant currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets He won an NBA MVP in 2013-14 season while he played for the Oklahoma Thunder. Durant signed with the Nets in 2019.

Second, on the list is Josh Allen the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Allen was drafted 7th overall in the 2018 NFL draft. Allen currently holds the NFL record for the highest passer rating in an NFL playoff game with 149.0.

The other Buffalo Bills player to land on the top 10 list is Stefon Diggs. Diggs who recently signed a four-year extension with the Buffalo Bills last week is currently 8th on the list of Top 10 Athletes in New York. Diggs who was drafted in the 5th round by the Minnesota Vikings joined the Buffalo Bills via trade in 2020.
