By now you have probably made your resolution for the new year. Hopefully, you have not broken it already! A lot of people tend to be disappointed when they find themselves breaking their resolutions so early into the new year. There's a few key things to keep in mind if you are really going to make those resolutions stick.

First, be realistic. Saying you are going to lose a large amount of weight in a very short amount of time is not only unrealistic, but it's unhealthy. Instead, set a goal for how often you will get a workout in, or create a weekly menu full of healthy recipes. Combining these two items together will ultimately land you at your goal. This type of thinking can be related to any type of resolution, not just weight loss.

It's all about accountability. If you have a problem with holding yourself accountable, talk to others about your goals. Create daily Facebook updates about your accomplishments for that day or maybe even a blog. When you know others are expecting to see you reach your goal you will be more likely not to break that resolution!

I hope these tips help you with keeping your New Year's resolutions! If you already broke your resolution, start over today! Every day should be a fight to reach your goal.
