The Broome County Health Department is advising B.C. Transit riders that it has learned of a person on bus routes October 26 who tested positive for COVID-19.

If you were on Bus Route 9 (“BU Advantage”) between 7:45 a.m. and 11 a.m., Outbound 5 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Inbound 15 between 1:50 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. or Route 17 between 3:10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. on October 26, you are asked to self-quarantine until November 10 if you rode one of those routes during those times for ten or more minutes.

The Tioga County Health Department is issuing a Public Notification for possible exposures to COVID-19.

Authorities say individuals visited four locations in Owego and Waverly while they had symptoms or were asymptomatic but in their infectious period during the past several days, possibly exposing others to the coronavirus.

Officials say anyone who was at Ernesto’s Diner and Mexican Restaurant in Owego October 28 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., Becky’s Diner in Waverly October 29 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Waverly Village Justice Court October 29 after 1 p.m. or the Owego Elk’s Club October 30 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. should self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.
