Broome County sheriff's office investigators say three teenagers who were arrested in September in connection with a series of thefts now face more charges.

Authorities say 18-year-old Crystal Green, 18-year-old Justin Gumaer and 17-year-old Jayden Howe were taken into custody following a traffic stop in Binghamton.

Howe - who lives in Binghamton - had been sought on an active probation violation warrant.

Green and Gumaer were charged with hindering prosecution, obstructing governmental administration and marijuana possession. Green also was charged with resisting arrest.

The three teens were among a half-dozen suspects arrested just over one month ago after an investigation into a series of thefts in Chenango Bridge and Hillcrest.

At that time, authorities said Green and Gumaer were residing at 71 Grant Road in Hinmans Corners.

As a result of the initial investigation, police confiscated a loaded handgun, drugs and stolen property from that residence.
