The People’s Convoy Rolls Through New York, Community Shows Up To Support

Their website says, “We are, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, married, single, divorced, separated, gay, straight. We are Black, White, Asian, Native American. We are immigrants, natives: We are citizens of the free world.” Who are they? They are the People’s Convoy.

The People’s Convoy was created by members of America’s trucking industry as a peaceful way to unify Americans and travel the country, ultimately ending up in the vicinity of Washington, D.C. to spread the word about the need for America to fully re-open.

The message of the People’s Convoy is clear – the last 23 months have been brutal for the American people “spiritually, emotionally, physically, and – not least – financially.” The People’s Convoy is made up of individuals and organizations who believe that the time has come for the American people to be heard by those in government.

The People’s Convoy believes that the “average American worker needs to be able to end-run the economic hardships of the last two years, and get back to the business of making bread.”

The People's Convoy stands united against outrageously high gas prices, excessive trucking regulations, mandates, and vaccination requirements. It also is looking for stricter regulations to be placed on how the government can implement emergency executive orders, accountability by the media to share unbiased news, and a better education system that will truly meet the needs of American children.

The People’s Convoy hopes that its peaceful movement and presence will show the government that American citizens believe that the time has come for the government to "work with the blue collar and white-collar workers of America and restore accountability and liberty – by lifting all mandates and ending the state of emergency.”

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, small truck convoys from around New York traveled through the state and into Pennsylvania, where they will meet up the main People's Convoy which originated in California. The collective convoys plan to gather and show collective support for the American people in the vicinity of Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

The People's Convoy has made it clear that it is a "peaceful and unified transcontinental movement" and that it will not be going into D.C. proper.
