The list was complied by BabyCenter.com.

According to WIVB, 2020's events had an influence on the list. The tragic death of basketball star Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna back in January was honored by many families, as Kobe rose to the 216th most popular name for boys. Gianna rose to 24th for girls.

“Parents are seeking comfort by naming their babies after people they admire, especially those who’ve passed on. We expect this trend to continue well into 2021,” said Linda Murray, BabyCenter’s global editor in chief.

What about Karen? The 2020 trend for the name caused it to drop 153 spots, compared to 2019...wow.
