The Broome County Humane Society (BCHS) gets NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING and they depend on your donations along with adoptions and fundraisers. So when the coronavirus pandemic arrived, they were hit just as hard as everybody else.

Many of their fundraisers were canceled, including their Fall Rummage Sale and Bowl-a-Rama in October. Well just like the Broome County Humane Society, some things just can't be stopped.

They are giving the Fall Rummage Sale another run and it's happening this Saturday, November 21st. Here are some of the things to know:

It's going to be at a DIFFERENT than their normal location. Drop off will be on Friday, November 20th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1645 on Robinson Street in Binghamton.

You are asked not to bring books, clothing, television, or exercise equipment to the event.

The sale will be on Saturday, November 21st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1645. Masks are REQUIRED and COVID guidelines will be enforced including social distancing.

There will be a maximum amount of people allowed in the building at one time, so please be patient and understanding. Every dollar helps and here is a way to help them out while cleaning the extra unneeded stuff in your home or apartment.

Do your part and make it a fun and safe event and help them continue their mission of helping animals throughout Broome County. If you have any questions, you can email them at LHeilweil@bchumanesoc.com or call (607) 724-3709 ext. 107.

The sale is CASH only and once again, it's at a different location than normal, It'll be at the American Legion Post 1645 on Robinson Street in Binghamton on Saturday. See you there.
